An Unexclusive Gospel


 A journalist once asked Carl Sandburg, “What is the ugliest word in the English language?”

After a few minutes Sandburg replied, “Exclusive.”

The ugliness of exclusive depends upon whether we are among the included or the excluded.

Who is excluded from the love of God?

The answer is simple – no one.

Who are we to do what God does not do?

John said to Jesus, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he was not following us.”  

But Jesus said, “Do not stop him; for no one who does a deed of power in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me.   Whoever is not against us is for us                                                                                                Mark 38-41
